Tree Trimming Services Donated to the House
Through the efforts of Board Member Connie Yang, the trees around the House got a great "cut and style" courtesy of Dan Thacker and his team at Finch Tree. Located in San Gabriel, Dan and his crew spent the day before Christmas Eve trimming and sprucing up the trees on the property. Stop by the House to check out their great work. Your contribution to the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House will help to ensure that families have a supportive and affordable place to call home while their children receive medical services. A medical crisis can create unimaginable hardship in the life of a family and families must struggle with many personal, emotional, spiritual and financial challenges. We try to ease their burdens by providing a low cost (and sometimes free) "home away from home."

Our operational cost per room, per night, is $157.00, yet we ask only $15.00 per night donation from our families. And, no eligible family is ever turned away simply because they are unable to pay.

Giving to the House is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law and helps keep our doors open to families!
- Our annual budget is $575,000.
- Of that amount, approximately 10% is provided by The McDonald's Restaurant Family, including owner/operators, suppliers/vendors, and in-restaurant promotions.
- We must raise the difference each year from the local community.

Pull For the House
You can make a difference in the live of the families at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. A small yet significant way schools, organizations, families and individuals can become involved is to “pull” for the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. If you think that your aluminum pop tab donation won’t make a difference, think again! These small, all too often overlooked gems of ingenuity are providing to be a tremendous source of charitable revenue for the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.
For every pound of pop tabs collected, the House recycles the tab and receives the current rate for aluminum, with proceeds helping with daily operating expenses (keeping our doors open for the families). Tab Top donations are not used for any specific medical treatment (dialysis, etc.)
Anyone may collect Tab Tops and bring them here to our Pasadena location, 7 days a week, preferably between 9:00am – 9:00pm. If you are unable to drop off the tab to us, take them to a participating recycle center and mail the check to us. Tabs can be from beverages, cat and dog food, food cans, tennis ball canisters, etc. Tab collection canisters are available at the House, or use any clean container of your choice.
One tab on its own may not be worth much, but if we all “pull together” we can make a difference.
